This rare teacup comes with a standard phoenix-and-peony design and painted against a light opaque blue enameled background. This teacup is believed to have been the originally part of a complete dinner service made specially for a wealthy Peranakan family in Penang. The reign of the iron-mark “Guang Xu Nian Zhi” (????) is seen at the lid and the teacup. Very good condition. |
